Dearest family,
As we reach the one-year mark since our Dec 6th raid, we are grateful to share news that fills us with hope, gratitude and immense relief.
The Department of Justice has informed us that they will not be seeking charges against us. After everything we’ve endured this past year, this is a sacred victory, not only for our church, but for every community standing for the lawful, reverent use of sacred plant medicines.
As many of you know, the events that began on Dec. 6, 2024, changed the trajectory of our year. The raid, the uncertainty, the fear, and the deep emotional and spiritual toll it took on us, and our community, were immense. And yet, through every moment of adversity, you stood with us, with courage, prayer, trust, and unwavering faith in the sanctity of this path.
While this news does not mark the end of our journey, we plan to continue working with our legal team to secure our rights under the law so that we may return to our sacred mission. This news represents a powerful step forward. It is a recognition that our intentions are pure, our practices are sincere, and our commitment to religious freedom is unwavering.
We want you to feel encouraged, uplifted, and strengthened. This moment is a testament to what can happen when a community moves together in truth, humility, and devotion. It is a reminder that even when the road feels heavy, Spirit continues to guide and protect.
Thank you for holding the vision with us. Thank you for believing in the sacredness of this work. Thank you for standing not only for our church, but for all spiritual communities seeking the freedom to honor the medicines that help humanity connect, heal, awaken, and restore.
If you feel called to stand with us in this next chapter, we humbly ask for your support through our GoFundMe. Every offering helps us continue this sacred work and protect the future of all plant medicine churches.

Dear Family and Friends,
Our beloved church, Sacred Sanctuary, is under attack by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and we need your help! It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to you during this incredibly difficult time.
As many of you know, Sacred Sanctuary, our cherished place of healing, spirituality, and community, has been struck by an unexpected and unjust raid by the DEA. We have been forced to halt our ceremonial use at this time. This violation of our rights has left us reeling, but we are determined to continue our mission and remain a safe and sacred space for all.
This attack on Sacred Sanctuary is not just an injustice against us—it is an injustice to any person seeking to practice their faith freely under our constitutional rights. What is happening to Sacred Sanctuary is a threat to the rights of every human being that wishes to work with sacred plants for healing and spiritual growth. The very foundation of our work—our connection to Mother, our service to the community, and our rights as individuals and as a religious organization—are all under attack. This is a battle we must all fight together, as one unified community.
This is a fight for the freedom of spiritual practice, for the future of entheogenic churches, and for the right to pursue healing through sacred traditions. We cannot do it alone—we need your help, and we need your voice. Together, as a united community, we can ensure that Sacred Sanctuary—and all sacred spaces like it—remain protected for generations to come.
We are preparing to face a monumental legal battle with all that we have—for our own freedom and for that of generations to come. Our First Amendment rights—granting freedom of religion and expression—are in question at this time. When we look to the future, we see this battle paving the way for a new precedent for churches in the United States. This is an incredibly important movement as we continue the fight to decriminalize nature and have the opportunity to reconnect with Our Creator in a way that is natural and carries unprecedented results in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
The road ahead is uncertain, and it is with a deep sense of urgency and humility that we turn to you for help. Our community has always been our strength, and now we need your support more than ever. Without sufficient funding to continue our legal defense and maintain the property, Sacred Sanctuary risks being forced to close its doors permanently.
While we navigate this painful challenge, we also face significant financial burdens. Sacred Sanctuary, as a nonprofit, is responsible for the upkeep of the property—mortgage, utilities, insurance, repairs, taxes—and the ongoing work to improve our space for everyone who seeks solace here. On top of this, we are burdened with exorbitant legal costs to defend ourselves against what we feel is an unlawful action.
The funds raised here will go towards the criminal defense of the church leaders, civil proceedings seeking a petition to continue current religious practices, and continuing church operations as well as upkeep of the property while working through these matters.
It isn’t easy to ask for help, but our hearts are open, and we trust in the power of community. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact in ensuring that Sacred Sanctuary not only survives this hardship but thrives in the years to come and sets the precedent that our religious practice may continue for all who wish to commune with the Divine.
We ask for your prayers, your continued support, and if you are able, your financial contributions. Together, we can ensure that Sacred Sanctuary continues to be a beacon of light, healing, and connection for all who need it.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for standing with us during this time. Your love, support, and generosity mean the world to us. Let’s protect this sacred space together and keep its light shining for all.
With love, gratitude, and prayer,
Our Sacred Sanctuary
P.S. We’ll be updating you on further steps and rescheduled retreats soon. In the meantime, please share this message to help spread the word and bring in the support we so desperately need.
